Season 10 is the kind of patch that makes your stash feel a bit suspect. Not useless, just suspect. If you've been hoarding rifles, ammo, and spare Delta Force Items like the market would never move, this update is a reminder that comfort builds don't stay comfy forever.
The M7 Tax Is RealThe M7 nerf matters because people trusted it for lazy value. You could take average fights, land a few ugly limb shots, and still come out fine. That's the bit Season 10 is poking at. Less damage, weaker limb value, and a worse Tidal Long Barrel bonus means it won't carry bad habits as hard. I'd still keep a couple of kits, sure, but paying top money for perfect M7 parts before live testing feels risky.
Old Favorites Need A Fresh LookThe AS Val getting lower damage and armor penetration is another big one. It used to feel nasty in hallways, especially when someone pushed too slowly and got erased before trading. Now it should need cleaner aim, or at least better timing. The AK-2, on the other hand, suddenly looks less like cheap filler. Better limb damage gives it a real job in mixed fights, where nobody is landing perfect chest shots all raid.
That's the annoying part of patch prep. The "best gun" on paper often loses to the gun you can afford to run five times in a row.

Pre Patch Stash MovesDon't panic-sell everything. Also don't pretend nothing changed. Split the difference, because that's usually where the money is.
1. Keep two or three M7 kits for testing.
2. Hold AS Val parts until live prices settle.
3. Buy AK-2 pieces only if they stay cheap.
Ammo Is Where Fights Get WeirdThe new ammo is probably the real meta shake-up. The 5.8x42mm gold rounds sound rough to fight against because they mess with enemy recoil while helping your own control. That's huge in ugly fights. Smoke, strafing, bad audio, two players healing behind the same box. You know the mess. The 9x19mm CT rounds and improved.45 ACP options also make SMGs more interesting, mostly because limb damage rewards close-range chaos instead of perfect tracking.
Ammo Tests I'd Run EarlyStart small here. Ammo prices go stupid on day one, then people calm down after dying with it twice.
1. Try 5.8 gold in CI19 first.
2. Save CT rounds for close maps.
3. Compare.45 ACP against armored targets.
Polymer Rounds Are Not Just TrashPolymer ammo looks bad if you only stare at damage and penetration. Lower numbers scare people off. But 90 rounds per slot and better recoil control can matter a lot in Operations. Less stash pressure, fewer awkward reloads, more time holding angles. The M7 version is awkward now, yeah, because the rifle itself is getting clipped. The M250 is more interesting. If sustained fire becomes valuable, that thing may stop being a joke pick.
Attachments And Operators Still Change Your Shopping ListThe Compound Bow HVK attachment is odd, but faster firing gives aggressive bow players a reason to mess around. The Ash-12 two-round attachment is the scary one. If it stays close to test-server strength, careless peeks are going to get punished hard. Operator changes matter too: Morse jammer nerfs make sneaky pushes easier to read, Shepherd gets clearer Sonic Paralysis feedback, and Tempest loses some breach threat. I'd build flexible kits, not shrine builds, and if you're checking upgrade costs or watching Delta Force Tekniq Alloy for sale before committing, leave yourself enough room to pivot after the first sweaty weekend.
